1. Provider and contact
The provider is Mateusz Konieczny — Balance IT, ul. Święty Marcin 29 lok. 8, 61-806 Poznań, Poland, NIP 7812090221, REGON 541862820. Contact: kontakt@balanceit.pl.
2. When the interactive-service agreement starts
Reading public pages does not by itself record acceptance of these terms. The free interactive-service agreement starts only when you actively confirm that you are at least 18, tick the separate terms checkbox and choose on-device processing in the pre-contract screen. The acceptance receipt records the notice versions and time on this device. You may end the service by withdrawing the receipt and deleting local data in Settings & privacy.
The current terms and notices are linked before acceptance and remain available in a printable format. If a material version changes, the prior receipt no longer unlocks protected workflows and the current version must be accepted again.
3. Intended purpose and excluded use
The service records mechanical bicycle coordinates, calculates published setup reference ranges with limitations, and compares repeated 2D pose estimates. It is not designed or offered to diagnose, prevent, monitor, predict, treat or alleviate disease, injury, disability or a health condition. Do not enter symptoms, diagnoses, injury history, medical records or other special-category data.
Do not use a result to decide whether to ride, whether a health concern is present, what caused it or whether professional care is needed. Leave the workflow if you have an active health or injury concern. The service is for users aged 18 or older.
4. Measurement and mechanical limits
Outputs are estimates and reference bands, not verified facts, an ideal fit or a guarantee. Phone position, calibration, lighting, clothing, occlusion, cadence and two-dimensional projection can materially change an estimate. A repeatable result can repeat the same systematic error. Confidence labels describe measurement quality gates only; they do not establish scientific or clinical validity.
Change one mechanical coordinate at a time, preserve the original measurement and re-record with the same protocol. Follow the exact bicycle and component manufacturer instructions, compatibility limits, torque values and minimum-insertion marks. Do not improvise a torque value, alter damaged parts or treat a saved checkbox as a mechanical inspection. Complex work belongs with a qualified bicycle mechanic.
5. Technical requirements and local storage
You need a current JavaScript-capable browser. Camera features require HTTPS, explicit camera permission, a compatible device and sufficient processing power. The same-origin MediaPipe runtime and pose model are downloaded as application assets. Saving uses first-party browser storage. Optional offline mode is off by default and registers a Service Worker only after you enable it in Settings.
Protect access to your device and exports. Deleting browser site data can permanently remove local records. Like all software, the service can contain defects or become unavailable.
6. Permitted use
Use the service lawfully and only for yourself or with authority from the adult concerned. Do not disrupt the service, attempt unauthorised access, submit unlawful content or include health records, passwords or third-party personal data in feedback.
7. Intellectual property and third parties
Application code, original text, design and marks are protected by law unless a file or notice says otherwise. Third-party software and research remain under their own terms. See Third-party notices. Public access does not grant rights to use the OpenBikeFit or Balance IT marks.
8. Availability, responsibility and mandatory rights
We do not promise uninterrupted availability, measurement accuracy or a particular mechanical, comfort, performance or health outcome. To the extent permitted by law, Balance IT is not responsible for loss caused by incorrect input, unsupported devices, unverified component work or ignoring manufacturer instructions. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Complaints, law and changes
Send complaints to kontakt@balanceit.pl with the feature, date, browser/device and requested resolution; do not attach health data. We aim to respond within 14 days. Polish law applies without removing mandatory protection available in a consumer's country of residence.
Material changes are dated and apply prospectively. A changed acceptance-controlled version requires a new active choice.
